JP7C Ranch – Shipping & Handling Policy

At JP7C Ranch, we take pride in ensuring that every livestock transaction is handled with professionalism, transparency, and care. Due to the unique nature of transporting live animals, all shipping and handling arrangements are managed on a per-sale basis.

1. Customized Shipping Arrangements

  • Shipping and handling of all livestock, including cattle and horses, are determined individually for each sale.

  • Costs, methods, and timing of delivery may vary depending on:

    • The type and value of the animal(s)

    • The delivery destination and distance

    • Weather conditions or seasonal considerations

    • Current transportation and fuel rates

  • JP7C Ranch reserves the right to adjust shipping costs and arrangements based on these factors at any time prior to shipment.

2. Transporter Responsibility & Delivery Guarantees

  • Guarantees of delivery are the sole responsibility of the transporter and should be confirmed at the time shipping agreements are made.

  • JP7C Ranch works only with transporters experienced in handling livestock; however, the buyer may select their own transporter if preferred.

  • Once the animal has left the care, custody, and control of JP7C Ranch, the transporter assumes full responsibility for the safety and well-being of the animal during transit.

3. Liability Disclaimer

  • JP7C Ranch is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, delays, losses, or fatalities that may occur after the animal departs our property.

  • Ownership and liability transfer to the buyer at the time the animal is released to the transporter or picked up by the buyer’s representative.

4. Health Certification & Inspection

  • All livestock can be veterinary-inspected prior to shipment to confirm health and transport readiness.

  • Such inspections must be requested by the buyer and are conducted at the buyer’s expense.

  • If the buyer declines a veterinary inspection, JP7C Ranch relies on word-of-mouth assurance and seller discretion to represent the animal’s health and condition.

  • By choosing to forgo a veterinary inspection, the buyer assumes all liability for the condition of the animal once it leaves our care.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

  • The buyer is responsible for ensuring that:

    • They or their designated transporter comply with all state and federal livestock transport regulations.

    • Any permits, brand inspections, or health certificates required by destination states are obtained and valid prior to transport.

  •

  • Any failure to meet regulatory requirements that results in shipment delay or refusal of entry is not the responsibility of JP7C Ranch.

6. Payment & Confirmation

  • All sales must be paid in full before shipping arrangements are finalized.

  • JP7C Ranch will coordinate with the buyer to confirm pickup times, transporter contact details, and any required paperwork.

7. Seasonal and Regional Considerations

  • Because livestock transport is affected by weather and climate, JP7C Ranch may delay or reschedule shipments during periods of extreme heat, cold, or hazardous road conditions to ensure animal welfare.

  • Additional costs for boarding, feed, or rescheduling may apply if such delays occur.

8. Final Agreement

By completing a livestock purchase and agreeing to shipment terms, the buyer acknowledges and accepts this Shipping & Handling Policy in full. JP7C Ranch reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time to reflect changing conditions or best practices in animal handling and transportation.
